Looks very nice Pery I think the colours would work better if you made the ground more greybrown instead of redbrown. Also her hands bothers me (the one up in the air). The pinky seems off, too long Also you are making her summon a cloud that snows or snow? Both would do good, but now its a bit of a strange mixture My suggestion would be either make the cloud a bit bigger and let the snow fall down very peacefully (now if looks like its catching quite a bit of wind from the side) or make her hand like some sort of snow machine.

And the temples/houses in the back.. not very Guildwarshy, but me likes Though the lines of the centered building are in a wrong perspective I think. The ones on the side of the temple should go more upwards.

And is MSN failing on anyone else? Can't seem to get online, think its because that stupid newer version with Facebook pluginnonsense.

@Tommy's: Snow-machine hand.... XD This is Guild Wars, I won't draw any robotic hands!
And yeah, I'm still working on the magic thing, I like your idea of making it more cloud-like. The houses are almost directly from a screenshot I took in Marga Coast, so they're definitely GW. They'll probably look better when I finish detailing them, and making them look more like mud-huts.
Thanks for the feedback! <3
And MSN is working fine for me. Maybe your connection is off somehow?

@Arghore: Thanks for pointing it out! I moved her legs a little bit and forgot to draw the bell back in. :P

Oh didnt think of those houses. Though yours look more like piramids while those gw ones look more like termite houses I'd rather live in yours xD Will patiently wait till you finished detailing them before I will crush you with comments again

And everything else involving internet seems to work fine, and its really msn thats acting strange somehow. Also when my mouse hovers over it sometimes is disapears ):<

@Perynne I think the buildings are too small. If you take in the size of the door to the size of the kids, right now the perspective says its a perfect fit. But since the elementalist is twice-ish their size, it would require her to be like gandalf visiting frodo in the shire xD
alternatively, if you think she would be tall enough to walk in, the buildings have to be quite the distance from them, at which point the ground would be wrong would need to be extended.

Gandalf-robo-ele!
Thanks for pointing it out, I totally didn't notice the wrong size of the buildings. Backgrounds aren't my strong point so I tend to miss things like that.

@Tommy's: Try a web-browser Messenger? Those ones where you don't need to have the actual MSN Messenger installed, you can just access it from your browser. See if that works. :3

Great work Perryanne! It has such a nice, festive feel to it. Love the concept to, I always wondered where all that snow in Kamadan came from.

o; marsh says its cute, and marsh is the master of all things D'AWWWW. hooray
Its only that big because i wanted to make it identical to the size of the bristol board im using. Since the dimensions are the same, it wont get distorted when i transfer it over ^^

Which im going to start now. Ive realized im going to need to find a way to, once finished, make it digital yet still high quality. not sure if my cheap digital camera can do that... hrmm.

Looks awesome, Pery, I love the ele's colors

Death - best bet is to get your hands on a tripod. You can probably pick up a cheap one from a dollar store (we have like...three of those around my house), or borrow one from a friend. That way you can set up the drawing where you want to photograph it, and then put your camera on the tripod to make sure everything's exact. Beyond that, set it to the highest resolution and quality settings that it has available, so that when you load it into the computer it should be high quality.

Oooh more WiPs

@ Gemini, I love your start. I agree that the proportions on the char seem a trifle unusual. The bone fiends are cute 
@Death ~ yeah the snowman adds something, looking forward to see how this develops. It’s a lovely picture.
@Operative ~ This is a pretty picture but there is something distracting about the different elements of the picture, I am not sure how to say what I mean. They do not seem, quite coherent at the moment.
@Pery ~ This looks great, makes me shiver to see her bare feet in the snow. I really love the concept here. The lost bell is a little distracting ^^

@Perynne: I think her porportions must be a part of my "style", which more or less is based on real people I know (among all myself) so I dunno, but I will take these words to mind when I keep developing it ^^

@Death By An Arrow: Thank you! I will as I said do some minor adjustments, but basically, that will be it ^^; About the forest: It's supposed to be an open area behind her, like a biiig glade.

Ahh, then the gap is fine as it is ^^

So ive started adding colour to my piece. Im doing the adorable footy polar bear first. I'm making him slightly blue as opposed to a bright white because I figured that light would reflect off the really blue ground ice dungeon cave flooryness. When i post my next WiP (tonight) let me know if you think it would be too blue. Ill upload a screen shot of the colour it will be next to for comparison.

I forgot just how sticky my fingers get when I do this kind of art... :x

[email protected]:12pmEST
Well, clearly this thread was jumping tonight... /sarcasm
So to prevent a double post Im just going to add on here
dA Link One bear done, with my cellphone for size comparison. You can compare the size of the bear to the bear in the sketch to get an idea of the size im working Tell me what you think about the shading, some of it didnt show up (glare from other magazine pieces) because of how I had to have my lamp positioned in the room.

Thanks Martha Stewart Living.

@Death by an Arrow: Oooh, the bear is looking very cute. I think that shade of blue is good for it, because as you pointed out, the background will have blue hues and it would reflect on the bear. What you could also do is use the pieces of white paper for highlights, by sprinkling them on the parts that would have the strongest light.

@Marsh: Looks good. Northern lights are really very many shades of colour, but usually mostly green/yellowish, perhaps a little turquoise when they're more blue. The blue you're using looks a little bit too cold (and too blue). Google helps for some good pictures. You could perhaps use some kind of motion blur to get that ribbony-look as well? And I'm not sure if those are clouds in the back, but an aurora doesn't show if there's clouds on top of it. There can be clouds around it, but I think they appear in the upper atmosphere so they'd be hidden if there was a cloud around.
Sorry, being a wee bit nitpicky about it. :P I love auroras, and sometimes see them here during the winter. The long shape you've drawn for it looks good though, so the colour would be the only thing that needs some tweaking. :3
